Neil Martin was project principal and design lead while at Jasmax for this cutting edge bi-cultural development. Completed in 2019, the 8500sqm project delivers the founding building for the University of Tauranga containing a 200 seat lecture theatre, a multifunction/noho/ events/teaching space with support amenity, 10 or more reconfigurable flat floor meeting spaces, central student services, university administration, academic offices and support spaces. The project was initiated with the vision and assistance of territorial authorities, the local business community. The project was delivered by the University of Waikato including a design partnership with Tangata Whenua representatives Ngai Tamarawaho.
